Pentillie Castle is every bit as fabulous as its name suggests! It’s a picture-perfect, fairytale kind of a place; a stylishly renovated 17th century castle that sits pretty in an idyllic setting on the banks of the River Tamar.

You can exclusively hire the Castle for bespoke weddings, memorable holidays, special celebrations and private retreats.

With 11 award-winning and individually styled bedrooms, an outdoor heated swimming pool, numerous reception rooms, games room, large farmhouse style AGA kitchen and acres of open space, it is a truly inspirational place to stay.

The extensive facilities also allow for additional activities with a variety of their local friends. Why not try paddle boarding on the River Tamar, cycling through the woods, taking an off-road drive across the estate or archery on The Old Tennis Lawn.

Weddings at Pentillie

The Castle offers the perfect venue for a romantic elopement, a small gathering for up to 60 (with up to 40 additional evening guests) or a larger celebration for up to 250, with the use of a marquee.

You can choose to both marry and celebrate on the estate, with a host of stunning indoor and outdoor licensed ceremony locations. Choose from the Castle’s grand interior, the romantic wisteria-clad Pavilion, the quaint riverside Victorian Bathing Hut or one of the picturesque garden settings.

Their experienced Weddings Manager will help you arrange as much or as little of your special day as you like, with a hand-picked list of local suppliers and caterers, chosen because of the excellent level of service and quality they provide. Events at Pentillie

As well as sensitively modernising the Castle in 2009 (you may have seen their feature on Country House Rescue), the Coryton family have put a huge amount of effort into restoring its beautiful gardens, which are now a visitor attraction in their own right. They’ve been featured in a Daily Telegraph article on the five Best Spring Gardens, as well as being likened to Cornwall’s famous Lost Gardens of Heligan, which are not far away. The gardens are open on selected days during the spring and year-round to Friends of Pentillie members.

Pentillie also hosts various other events throughout the year, including their delicious Afternoon Teas, Outdoor Theatres, Charity Coffee Mornings and Carols in the Courtyard. Please click here for dates and details.
