If it’s laughter you’re after roll up for some nostalgic Fairground fun at Dingles Fairground Museum, whatever your age, whatever the weather. Completely housed indoors and all on one level, our exhibit hall, and working museum showcases a nationally important collection of traditional fairground rides, stalls, and artwork.

Explore the unique world of the traveling showmen through the ages, their transport, living wagons, and historic rides. Discover how nationally renowned fairground artists carved, painted, and gilded the rides and stalls with scenes from the elaborate to the surreal before stepping into a world of vintage fairground rides in the working museum. No driving license is required to ride the Edward’s Dodgems, the largest track to ever travel, and then climb aboard for a horse ride on Tuby’s Victorian Gallopers. Little ones can have fun too on the Ladybirds or Happy Caterpillar but if it’s speed you are after hold on tight for the 1930s Super Chariot Racer or travel into space on Shaw’s Moonrocket, the last working ride of its type.  Dare to ride the 1940s Ghost Train before trying your luck on the side stalls. Test your aim on the Shooter or the 1950s plate smash or win a prize every time on the traditional Hook a Duck stall. Stop only for a traditional fairground meal or snack from our kiosk before chancing your luck in our vintage penny arcade.
